About the Role
Mindray is seeking a skilled PC/LAN Technician to support and maintain the company’s computer systems and network infrastructure. In this role, you’ll provide technical support to both local and remote users, ensuring optimal performance of hardware, software, and LAN connectivity across multiple platforms and facilities. This position plays a key role in keeping Mindray’s IT environment efficient, secure, and reliable.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare, configure, and deploy computer systems, accessories, and software in accordance with company standards.
- Maintain and track computer inventory using systems such as WASP and Kbox, ensuring proper assignment and recordkeeping in collaboration with Finance.
- Install, service, and repair PCs, peripherals, and printers; resolve LAN connectivity and system performance issues.
- Provide day-to-day support for end users by troubleshooting hardware, software, and email-related problems.
- Support the use of company-standard software, including spreadsheets, word processing, and database tools.
- Maintain detailed documentation for PC setup, configuration, and troubleshooting, including user manuals and known-error logs.
- Perform office and computer equipment moves, ensuring systems are reconnected efficiently.
- Create and manage user access to corporate systems and network resources.
- Make day-to-day decisions to ensure system stability and effective user support.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in a similar role supporting PC and LAN environments.
- Microsoft certification (MCSE) preferred.
- Proficiency with both Windows and macOS environments.
- Strong understanding of PC, LAN, and File Server technologies.
- Proven ability to diagnose and resolve user hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills with a customer-focused mindset.
What to Expect
- On-site position based in Mahwah, NJ.
- May require occasional evening or weekend work for maintenance or system repairs.
- Must be able to travel between facilities and carry or move equipment (25–50 lbs).
