The Manufacturing Engineer drives continuous improvement in machining processes, work instructions, tooling, fixturing, and workflow.
Key Responsibilities
Process Development & Optimization
- Develop and document manufacturing processes for CNC‑machined components, including routing, operation sequencing, and setup strategies.
- Optimize cycle times, setup times, and material flow to improve throughput and on‑time delivery.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective actions for scrap, rework, quality escapes, and process inefficiencies.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.
CNC & Production Support
- Collaborate closely with CNC Programmers to define machining strategies, tooling selection, and workholding concepts.
- Support new part introduction (NPI), including feasibility reviews, DFM feedback, and first‑article readiness.
- Provide shop‑floor support during setups, prove‑outs, and production issues.
- Assist with multi‑axis machining strategies and complex part manufacturing.
Tooling, Fixtures & Documentation
