ACET is seeking an O level Site Lead/Project Manager for MCAS New River.
Location - MCAS New River, Jacksonville, North Carolina
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily oversight of all functional and operational activities of aircraft maintenance.
- Support and collaborate with the Site Manager to oversee daily operations and track progress toward meeting contract goals.
- Manage and guide maintenance personnel, ensuring adherence to standards, procedures, and timelines.
- Monitor aircraft statuses, track maintenance events, and oversee scheduling to maximize operational readiness.
- Utilize computerized maintenance programs (such as OOMA) to aid in maintenance control and decision-making.
- Ensure all maintenance is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable regulations, technical instructions, and NAVAIR guidelines.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical/business discipline or 6 additional years experience
A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in the aviation maintenance field on one of the following T/M/S MV-22, CH-53, or UH-1Y/AH-1Z
At least six (6) years’ experience in a management/supervisory position.
A minimum of two (2) years’ experience as Site Manager or equivalent position for a similar contractual effort.
Must have strong electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical aircraft knowledge, including personal knowledge of computers.
This position requires extensive knowledge of the NAVAIRINST 3710.1series and CNAFINST 4790.2 series.
This individual must have a strong mechanical aptitude to offer technical direction in all maintenance areas.
The person must be knowledgeable of basic supply procedures.
Must be able to meet any Government/Company licensing/qualification requirements for the position.
Must be knowledgeable in ASM and maintain contractor training records as required.
Must be able to pass drug test as required.
Maintenance Control and Quality Assurance experience is preferred.
Reports to the Company Operations Manager/Program Manager
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and manipulate 50lbs independently when needed.
- Must be able to climb on ladders if needed.
- Must be able to repeatedly enter and exit aircraft using stationary steps/stairs.
- Position involves long periods of standing, bending, kneeling, squatting, crawling on aircraft structure and around aircraft for maintenance functions.
- Position my require use / exposure to fuels, oils, hydraulic fluids and cleaning solvents.
- Position is located in a high noise area within an aircraft hangar / flightline environment.
- FIT for Duty Physical is required.
- May require DOT and Respiratory Physicals.
Position Responsibilities
- Acts as the overall lead, manager, and administrator for the contracted effort in support of aircraft maintenance operations.
- Serves as the primary interface and point of contact with Government program authorities and representatives on technical and program/project issues.
- Oversees Contractor personnel program/project operations by developing procedures, planning, and directing execution of the technical, programming, maintenance and administrative support effort and monitoring and reporting progress.
- Responsible for recruitment of new hires and termination of employees either for cause or routine release.
- Screens all employee candidates to ensure adequate qualifications are met before offers are extended.
- Administers the operations per the DCMAINST 8210.1 series, CNAFINST 4790.2 series and local site policies as required.
- Ensures full and effective employment of assigned personnel.
- Manages, controls, and executes activities to ensure fulfillment of contractual obligations.
- Provides higher management with data necessary to make qualitative decisions about aircraft, equipment, support equipment, material condition, readiness, utilization, maintenance workload, and projected upcoming events.
