What You’ll DoAs a Quality Control Technician, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our products meet the highest standards of quality and consistency. You’ll work hands-on with block and aggregate materials, conduct inspections, and help maintain the exceptional standards our customers trust.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and prepare aggregate samples (up to 50 lbs per sample).
- Inspect truck beds to ensure compliance and cleanliness.
- Plan, organize, and manage day-to-day operations within the QC Lab.
- Mix colors to specification and verify product design accuracy.
- Maintain accurate documentation and enter data into company systems.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support the QC and production teams.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills — you’re professional, approachable, and a team player.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience handling state and federal documentation preferred.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Flexibility to work extended hours during peak seasons.
- Work safely and in compliance with all YBP Safety Policies.
- Work may take place both indoors and outdoors — expect exposure to heat, cold, dust, and varying weather conditions.
- May involve operating or working around heavy machinery and equipment.
- Ability to walk, sit, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Capable of shoveling wet, heavy materials for extended periods.
