Bakerly is looking for a Warehouse Specialist who is responsible for the storage, organization, and shipment of unfinished and finished goods at Bakerly. They are responsible for receiving, organizing, and inspecting goods as well as inventory management using pallet jacks and forklifts while following designated safety protocols. The Warehouse Specialist will ensure ingredients and packaging materials are received and available for production. They will ensure the accuracy of received goods as well as organizing the proper ingredients and materials required for daily operation.

Requirements:

Responsibilities

  • Verify the accuracy, quantity, and quality of incoming deliveries.
  • Verify all documentation of goods are received and entered in the ERP system for traceability.
  • Assign and place lot numbers on all items received for allocation to production.
  • Apply First In, First Out (FIFO) method on all inventory.
  • Maintain physical inventory count and verify accuracy with the ERP system.
  • Complete work orders accurately per daily production requests and deliver to staging area.
  • Load and unload deliveries upon arrival based on bill of lading.
  • Palletize or repalletize as needed while products are in house.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work area.
  • Adhere to Bakerly’s safety policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to Bakerly’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
  • Develop and maintain quality and food safety standards.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Job Qualification Requirements

  • 2 years of forklift experience (stand up and sit down) as well as forklift safety procedure knowledge, including proper load handling, speed limits, and forklift maintenance, and warehouse machinery experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ warehouse experience.
  • Experience with loading, unloading, stacking, and organizing inventory
  • Experience in the food processing industry is a plus.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Power Point).
  • Good communication skills with supervisors, co-workers, and other warehouse staff is crucial to ensure smooth operations.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds repeatedly using proper lifting techniques.
  • Good problem-solving abilities, results-oriented, and ability to work well with short timelines and multiple tasks.
  • Always lead by example, use proper Personal Protective Equipment, abide to assigned work schedule etc.
  • Ability to work in extreme temperatures, and around machinery and chemicals.
  • Understanding of safe work practices, GMPs, incident reporting, safety & environmental regulations, and OSHA compliance.
  • Knowledgeable in HACCP and SQF.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to stay calm under pressure while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to respond to continually changing priorities.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
