Job Summary: We are looking for a dependable and detail-focused Cable Cutting Operator to join our team within our steel building manufacturing operation. This role involves cutting heavy-duty cable to specified measurements for metal building orders. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced setting and performing physically active tasks while maintaining accuracy.

Requirements:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate cable cutting equipment, handling cable up to 1/2” thickness.
  • Measure and cut cable to required lengths based on order specifications.
  • Follow written instructions to maintain accuracy and product quality.
  • Perform repetitive duties while maintaining consistency and precision.
  • Safely move and handle heavy materials in compliance with safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked work area.
  • Communicate any issues, discrepancies, or concerns to supervisors.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and production team members as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1–2 years of warehouse experience preferred, preferably in manufacturing.
  • Forklift or combi-lift certification is a plus.
  • Ability to read and follow work orders and instructions.
  • Prior machine operation experience or willingness to be trained.
  • Ability to lift, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically active environment.
