About This Position
Atlanta Marriott Peachtree Corners is seeking a service-driven and detail-oriented Banquets Captain to support the execution of banquet events and uphold Marriott’s high standards of service and guest satisfaction. This role is responsible for leading banquet operations during events, ensuring all setups, service, and breakdowns are executed efficiently and to standard while supporting and guiding the banquet team on the floor.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong organizational skills, a sense of urgency, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced hospitality environment while maintaining a strong focus on guest experience.
As the hotel continues property enhancements with a renovation expected to be completed in late summer—including updated guest rooms, M Club Lounge, lobby, and meeting space—this role will play a key part in delivering seamless event execution within newly refreshed spaces.
Key Responsibilities
• Lead banquet events from setup through breakdown, ensuring smooth and efficient execution.
• Supervise, direct, and support banquet team members during service.
• Ensure event spaces are set according to BEOs, diagrams, and timelines.
• Act as the on-site point of contact during events, coordinating with culinary and hotel leadership.
• Monitor service standards and ensure a high level of guest satisfaction throughout each event.
• Address guest requests and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Assist with scheduling, side work assignments, and team readiness for events.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper breakdown of banquet spaces.
• Support operational readiness and execution within renovated and refreshed event spaces.
• Foster a positive team environment focused on teamwork, accountability, and service excellence.

• Previous banquet or food & beverage experience required.
• Prior leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of banquet service standards and event execution.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25–50 lbs.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
