Job Description

The individual will work under the direction of senior lab members, to support and help advance our research. They will assist with maintenance of lab spaces, supplies, and equipment, and preparation and maintenance of experimental materials according to established technical procedures. Additional duties may include:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating scientific equipment.
  • Maintaining cultures and other experimental matter.
  • Performing standard experimental tests and procedures.
  • Recording results of experiments according to standard laboratory techniques.
  • Presenting experimental results at lab meetings.
  • Performing related job duties as required.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • High school graduate or equivalent with some related college courses preferred.
  • One year of experience in laboratory work preferred.


Additional Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong organizational and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Additional Information

  • Term: This is a one-year term position from the date of hire, with the possibility of extension, contingent upon work performance and continued funding to support the position.
  • Standard Hours/Schedule: 35 hrs. per week | Monday - Friday | 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Work Format Details

This position has been determined by school or unit leaders that all duties and responsibilities must be performed at a Harvard or Harvard-designated location. Certain visa types may limit work location. Individuals must meet work location sponsorship requirements prior to employment.
