Responsibilities
Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on mechanical and production equipment
Diagnose malfunctions in machinery and perform necessary mechanical, hydraulic, or electrical repairs
Respond to emergency breakdowns to minimize production downtime
Replace or fabricate worn parts and components as needed
Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance work, repairs, parts usage, and equipment status
Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing maintenance activities
Assist with basic fabrication tasks including welding, cutting, and metalworking
Support production by operating equipment when necessary
Collaborate with other departments and provide guidance to support personnel during maintenance activities
Keep work areas clean and safe, and promote safety in all aspects of work
Strive for continuous improvement in equipment performance and maintenance processes

Regularly works in a production environment with exposure to dust, fumes, and airborne particles
May be exposed to heat, chemicals, and moderate to loud noise
Occasionally works in outdoor conditions or elevated areas
Frequently stands, walks, stoops, kneels, and crawls
Routinely lifts up to 50 pounds (up to 100 pounds with assistance)
May need to climb onto trailers or trucks and use heavy equipment
Must be able to work beyond standard hours, including overtime as needed
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Required Qualifications

High school diploma or GED
-
3–5 years of industrial maintenance experience

Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems

Strong understanding of forklift mechanics and basic equipment operation

Experience with fabrication tools including welding, grinding, and cutting

Ability to troubleshoot 480VAC 3-phase electrical systems

Basic computer skills for documentation and equipment tracking

Good organizational and communication skills

Ability to lift 50 lbs and work at heights or on ladders and lifts

Reliable transportation

Strong decision-making skills and ability to prioritize repairs effectively
