This role is much more than dropping off materials in a box truck. As a Delivery Driver, you are the face of Preston Feather in so many ways – while driving in traffic, interacting with homeowners and contractors, and meeting challenges with courtesy and professionalism as they arise.
The Delivery Driver position is front-line Customer Service and responsibilities include:
- Coordinating with the dispatch team to determine daily route
- Driving delivery vehicles safely, efficiently and courteously
- Planning and coordinating the safe load of material including a truck pre-inspection
- Running deliveries and unloading material at multiple construction sites
- Driving Box Truck, or Transit Van
- Ensuring product is stored and handled efficiently
- Accurately recording all inventory movement, in and out of the yard
- Working collaboratively with vendors and the entire Preston Feather team to ensure the most enjoyable customer experience
To be successful in this role, you will be expected to consistently demonstrate the ability to:

- Be flexible and adapt to changing load schedules and operational business needs
- Use the computer effectively to perform inventory and delivery analysis tasks

- Work in a physically demanding environment to include year-round outdoor work, lifting and loading product that weighs up to 100 pounds, walk and stand for prolonged periods of time

Required qualifications include:
- Minimum 18 years of age and a high school diploma or equivalent
- An active Chauffer License or ability to obtain one (we are willing to sponsor this)
- At least one year delivery and logistics experience in a similar work environment
