This executive leadership role is responsible for shaping and executing the procurement strategy for large-scale hyperscale data center development across North America. The position oversees end-to-end sourcing and delivery of major capital equipment supporting gigawatt-scale infrastructure programs. It plays a critical role in ensuring speed-to-market, cost predictability, and technical excellence across complex, multi-site deployments. The role requires close collaboration with senior leadership, engineering, construction, and operations teams to align procurement with standardized design and delivery goals. It also involves building a scalable procurement organization and establishing strong vendor ecosystems to support long-term growth. Operating in a fast-paced, high-impact environment, the role directly influences reliability, scalability, and performance of mission-critical digital infrastructure.
- Lead the development and execution of a scalable, programmatic procurement strategy aligned with hyperscale data center expansion across multiple North American markets.
- Define and manage end-to-end sourcing processes for major capital equipment, ensuring alignment with cost, schedule, quality, and risk objectives.
- Build and maintain strategic relationships with key vendors, including negotiation of contracts, pricing structures, service levels, and long-term supply agreements.
- Establish procurement governance frameworks, KPIs, and reporting systems to monitor vendor performance, delivery timelines, cost control, and manufacturing quality.
- Oversee CAPEX forecasting, procurement budgeting, and financial tracking in collaboration with program controls and finance teams.
- Lead cross-functional coordination with design, construction, commissioning, and operations to ensure seamless equipment integration and delivery readiness.
- Develop and scale a high-performing procurement organization combining internal hires and external partners.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline (Master’s preferred).
- 10–15+ years of experience in major capital equipment procurement, preferably within hyperscale data centers or mission-critical infrastructure environments.
- Proven track record of building and managing large-scale, multi-site procurement programs (50–100MW+ or equivalent).
- Strong expertise in MEP systems, equipment manufacturing, QA/QC processes, commissioning, and large-scale infrastructure delivery.
- Demonstrated experience in vendor management, strategic sourcing, contract negotiation, and supply chain optimization.
- Proficiency with project and cost management tools such as Primavera P6, MS Project, and Procore.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence executive and technical audiences.
- High level of ownership mindset, with a strong commitment to safety, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
