About the role:
We are looking for a proactive, hands-on Sales Development Representative
focused on OUTBOUND new business leads across America while becoming a
subject matter expert on Kpler's Maritime/Shipping/Logistics product suite.
Reporting to the Regional Team Lead, this role requires a driven individual
who can achieve and excel in targets.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Map out key contacts and teams at our existing customer accounts, identifying opportunities to grow our reach in conjunction with Account Managers
  • Craft and execute multi-channel communications; Linked in, E-mail and Phone; to convey the value of Kpler to the new contacts identified within our account base
  • Qualify these prospects using the BANT methodology and book meetings in for sales to move opportunities through the sales funnel
  • Meet weekly with Account Managers and BD team leads to share progress and plan the strategy for any new product launches and upcoming campaigns/ event
  • Be an expert on the client workflow and usage of our product suite within your named accountsDevelop leads through outbound cold calling, cold emailing, and networking (will also manage select Financial inbounds for North America)
  • Research and map clients and target prospects in the industry, particularly in Financial sector (hedge funds, banks, financial institutions, consulting firms)
  • Generate and qualify business opportunities through professional, and dedicated prospecting via multiple channels using the BANT methodology
  • Working with the sales team to tailor a unique sales pitch/value proposition to prospects
  • Keep track of industry events to have meaningful conversations with
    prospects and contribute to regional marketing strategy
  • Use a variety of tools to research prospective leads
  • Support Commercial/Account Managers with their lead-generation activities
  • Enrich the CRM Platform (Salesforce) with relevant and precise information about clients, prospects, leads, and qualified opportunities
  • Meet and exceed all quarterly and annual sales targets
Experience & Background:
  • Ideally 1-4 years of experience as a Sales Development Representative
    (SDR) prospecting and qualifying leads in a B2B SaaS/Tech company ideally targeting the Maritime/Shipping/Logistics sector across America
  • Experience using Linkedln Sales Navigator, Outreach.io, and Salesforce
    CRM is a big plus!
  • Intrinsic drive to be successful and show quick adaptation
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)
  • A proactive, 'hunter' mentality
  • Highly personable, and confident interacting in person and over the
    phone with senior personnel
  • Engaging copywriting skills and experience in delivering compelling
    emails and communications to stand out from the crowd
  • Organized, structured, able to work under pressure, but effective and
    capable of meeting deadlines
  • Professional customer-centric manner
  • Desire to learn, and a keen interest in developing a career within a
    high-performing sales culture
  • Tech-savvy with a genuine interest in disruptive technologies and
    current market trends
  • Enjoys working in a dynamic start-up culture, contributing new and
    creative ideas
