Responsibilities
We are seeking a highly skilled Linux Engineer with deep expertise in Enterprise Linux (RHEL 8/9/10) and a proven track record in executing automated patching within complex, mission-critical environments.Strong knowledge of Linux OS internals, networking, and storage fundamentals, along with hands-on experience in package management (DNF), container technologies, and automation using Git-based workflows.This role focuses on designing and implementing automation solutions to build and support custom Podman and Docker containers, enabling a modern and scalable patching infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Automate system administration and deployment processes using Ansible, Bash scripting, Podman, and Docker
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to patching Enterprise Linux systems
- Design, build, and maintain custom container images for deployment pipelines
- Contribute to and maintain technical documentation, including runbooks, installation guides, and knowledge base articles
- Provide support to customers in installing, configuring, and operating the solution
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve automation and deployment efficiency
Qualifications
Education: BE/BTech/MCA
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 8-13 yrs experience with Enterprise Linux (RHEL 8/9/10) environments
- In-depth understanding of Linux OS internals, networking, and storage concepts
- Hands-on experience with DNF/YUM package management
- Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Shell, or Python)
- Experience with containerization technologies (Podman, Docker)
- Familiarity with Git-based workflows and automation pipelines
- Experience in automated patching and system lifecycle management
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Spacewalk or Uyuni for system management and patching
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation
- Knowledge of security best practices in Linux environments
