Senior Regulatory Compliance Manager

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Regulatory Compliance Manager in Brazil.

The Senior Regulatory Compliance Manager will lead and guide the regional compliance framework for financial products and value-added services, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. This role combines strategic oversight with hands-on regulatory assessment, advising product, technology, and legal teams on complex regulatory matters. You will develop and maintain compliance processes, perform risk assessments, and create training programs for internal teams. Acting as a subject matter expert, you will ensure products meet industry standards including PCI, GDPR, PSD2, FATF, and AML regulations. The position offers high visibility, influencing both product innovation and operational excellence while collaborating across multiple departments and regions. Remote work is fully supported, with flexibility for virtual collaboration across time zones.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead the regional regulatory compliance function for financial products and value-added services, maintaining a comprehensive regulatory inventory
  • Collaborate with product, technology, legal, and governance teams to assess and address regulatory risks for new and existing products
  • Monitor regulatory changes and provide guidance to product teams on applicability and impact
  • Develop and deliver training programs for regulations affecting products, ensuring teams are knowledgeable and compliant
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring regulatory readiness and corrective actions where necessary
  • Conduct regulatory assessments, reviewing processes and internal controls, and recommending improvements
  • Advise on partnerships, vendor assessments, and operational activities to ensure compliance excellence

Requirements:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably in the payments, banking, fintech, or financial services industry
  • 5+ years of experience in regulatory, product, or compliance roles, including risk assessment and mitigation
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and industry standards such as PCI, GDPR, PSD2, FATF, and AML
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in a matrixed, global environment
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with fluency in Portuguese and advanced English; Spanish is a plus
  • Ability to assess complex technical and business solutions and produce clear recommendations
  • Professional certifications in compliance, regulatory, or payments-related disciplines are a plus
  • Proficiency in tools such as Jira, MS Word, PowerPoint, Visio, Excel, MS Teams, and Outlook
