Culinary Substitute Teacher at Lotus Learning Group – Vineland, New Jersey

Culinary Arts Teacher-Temporary/Part time/ for 2 Regional Day School locations: Atlantic Regional Day School, Egg Harbor Twp & Cumberland Regional Day School, Vineland. This is for a leave replacement. Position will go to at least end of April if not longer.

The Culinary Arts Teacher will teach the following subject areas: General Cooking and related culinary arts, chef training, Culinary science, food preparation, baking and pastry arts, food service, & food services management.

Hours: M-F, approximately 8:00am - 2:00pm. Travel to both locations during the week. 3-3 days at Cumberland Campus in Vineland and 2-3 days at the Atlantic Campus in Egg Harbor Twp.

Pay rate: $40-$42 per hour depending on experience, NJ certification

Job Description:

We are looking for a temporary/part time Culinary Arts teacher/sub teacher for a leave replacement to join our team. The ideal candidate might have a NJ CTE certification and/or a NJ Substitute certification with cooking experience in a restaurant setting or related experience, must be a self-starter, able to work independently, and possess strong attention to detail. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong work ethic.

Requirements:

• Possess a NJ CTE in Culinary Arts OR a valid NJ Substitute Certificate with experience in cooking.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check (criminal review history & child abuse investigation)
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with our staff and students in a professional manner
• Ability to work without direct supervision
