Job Description Overview

The Senior Front-End Web Developer has a passion for building modern, responsive, and engaging web applications and websites. You will collaborate closely with designers, backend developers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements and user needs into seamless digital experiences.

Remote based opportunity. Candidates must currently reside in the United States and have the ability to follow Eastern Time working hours. (8am - 5pm ET)

Responsibilities

Summary:

The Senior Front-End Web Developer has a passion for building modern, responsive, and engaging web applications and websites. You will collaborate closely with designers, backend developers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements and user needs into seamless digital experiences.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Architect, develop, and maintain high-quality web applications and sites with clean, efficient, and well-documented code.

  • Take ownership of front-end architecture and lead implementation of complex features and UI components.

  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure technical feasibility and deliver pixel-perfect, user-centric interfaces.

  • Optimize sites and applications for speed, accessibility, responsiveness, and cross-browser compatibility.

  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers; conduct code reviews and enforce best practices.

  • Integrate with REST and GraphQL APIs; work in a full-stack environment with backend teams as needed.

  • Stay current with the latest front-end frameworks, trends, and tooling; advocate for new approaches and continuous improvement.

  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve front-end issues efficiently.

  • Contribute to agile/scrum teams; participate in sprint planning, task estimation, and retrospectives.

Skills/Experience Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in front-end web development, with a strong portfolio showcasing modern, responsive web projects.

  • Advanced proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and one or more modern frameworks (React, Vue.js, Angular, Svelte, etc.).

  • Proficiency with RESTful and GraphQL APIs; able to integrate external data into front-end solutions.

  • Deep understanding of browser behavior, performance optimization, accessibility (WCAG), and security best practices.

  • Experience with Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques and website A/B testing

  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and collaborative workflows (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).

  • Experience CSS preprocessors (Sass, LESS)

  • Solid knowledge of automated testing (unit, integration, and E2E), CI/CD pipelines, and debugging tools.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

  • Experience working with CMS platforms (i.e., WordPress, headless CMS) or e-commerce frameworks.

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), serverless functions, and deployment automation.

  • Strong appreciation for UX/UI principles and creative collaboration with design teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
