Responsibilities
Complete Building Services is seeking a Building Maintenance Mechanic to join our Operations and Maintenance team. This role is responsible for performing preventive and routine maintenance at a large facility located in Washington, DC. The scheduled work hours for this position are Monday-Friday 10:30 am-7:30pm.
Major Duties:
- Perform daily tours of all mechanical rooms, computer rooms, electrical rooms, garages, roofs and all other areas as assigned.
- Complete routine PM's (change filters, belts, clean coils, etc.) on AHU's, FCU's, exhaust fans and other mechanical equipment as assigned.
- Ability to troubleshoot HVAC equipment and make minor repairs.
- Basic electrical and plumbing knowledge to troubleshoot and make necessary repairs to commercial light fixtures, outlets, toilets and urinals.
- Maintain equipment to industry standards.
- General skills to repair door hardware and blinds.
- Complete weekly generator and fire pump tests.
- Help with event set ups and tear downs.
- Provide assistance and support to sub-contractors designated to perform installation and/or repair of equipment and/or hardware as required.
- Be able to support snow removal as needed.
- Interface with building manager and other customer representatives in order to ensure client satisfaction.
Hours: Monday-Friday 10:30am-7:00pm
Salary: $26.00 per hour
Qualifications
- 3 years experience operating and maintaining commercial buildings in the last 5 years
- Requires reliable transportation
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Hands on equipment experience including, but not limited to: changing filters, grease bearings, repairing flush valves, stop valves, change ballast/light bulbs
- Excellent customer service skills
- EPA Universal 608 (CFC) license
