About AAPC
AAPC is a leading organization in the healthcare industry, dedicated to providing top-tier education, certification, and resources for healthcare professionals. We foster a culture of humility, support, drive, transparency, and innovation—values that guide everything we do.
We’re looking for a Senior Web Developer with strong React/Next.js foundations and full-stack experience to help evolve our marketing technology platform. You’ll be a key technical partner driving everything from front-end features to backend integrations, enabling our marketing organization to move faster and smarter.
About the role
As part of the Marketing Engineering team, you’ll work across the stack to design, build, and connect systems that power our customer-facing experiences and marketing operations. That includes modernizing our web architecture around a headless CMS, maintaining data flows through APIs and databases, and integrating with tools that support our sales and marketing funnel.
You’ll play a central role in bridging between marketing, product, and platform engineering which will include scoping cross-team projects, define interface points, and ensuring we deliver maintainable, high-quality solutions. This is an ideal position for someone who thrives in ambiguous environments, enjoys shaping technical direction, and brings front-end polish along with solid backend instincts.
Responsibilities
· Lead development of front-end features using React, TypeScript, and Next.js with a focus on high performance and consistent user experience
· Contribute across the stack, including API design, database management, caching, and system integrations
· Help implement and evolve integrations between our app, CMS, and third-party platforms supporting marketing and sales operations
· Migrate and modernize functionality from a legacy ASP.NET environment into modular Next.js services
· Participate actively in cross-team projects, scoping responsibilities, identifying dependencies, and coordinating with other engineers and stakeholders
· Review pull requests to uphold code quality and mentor teammates through thoughtful feedback
· Improve our development lifecycle and tooling (CI/CD, code standards, testing, observability, documentation)
· Explore responsible ways to use AI-assisted tooling to improve velocity, testing, and developer experience
· Continuously learn and bring forward new ideas that improve our marketing systems and engineering practices
Requirements
· 6+ years of professional experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, including deep proficiency in React and modern front-end practices
· Strong production experience with Next.js and an understanding of SSR/ISR patterns
· Backend knowledge, comfortable working with APIs, databases, and caching
· Proven success collaborating across teams to deliver integrated solutions, with good communication and project-scoping instincts
· Attention to both UI detail and system design trade-offs, balancing speed of iteration with long-term maintainability
· Comfortable working with incomplete requirements, proactively identifying questions and proposing next steps
· Demonstrated ownership mindset where you take initiative, seek clarity, and deliver high-quality work with minimal oversight
Nice to have
· Experience with design systems or component libraries
· Familiarity with CMS customization and data modeling for marketing or e-commerce
· Understanding of web performance optimization and observability tooling
· Exposure to e-commerce or revenue-driving product experiences
· Background in mentoring or code review leadership
What We Offer
- Competitive compensation commensurate with experience
- Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance
- Health Savings Account
- Generous PTO and Holiday Pay
- 401(k) retirement plan
