About This Position

Key Responsibilities
Precision Healthcare Specialists is seeking a skilled and patient-focused Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to support our Urology team. The CMA will provide both clinical and administrative support, ensuring efficient patient care, accurate documentation, and seamless coordination with providers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, compassionate, and experienced in a fast-paced specialty clinic setting.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties:
- Prepare patients for examinations and procedures, including taking vital signs, medical histories, and documenting chief complaints
- Assist urologists with in-office procedures and exams
- Collect and process laboratory specimens and perform CLIA-waived tests
- Administer medications or injections under provider direction
- Provide patient education regarding procedures, medications, and follow-up care
- Ensure proper infection control and sterilization protocols
Administrative Duties:
- Greet patients and verify insurance and demographic information
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation
- Communicate effectively with patients, providers, and ancillary staff
- Support office workflow and maintain a professional, organized clinic environment
- Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential required
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional medical training preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical or specialty practice, urology experience preferred
- Proficient in EMR systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks, Athenahealth, Epic)
- Knowledge of medical terminology, clinical procedures, and laboratory practices
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication and patient interaction skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume clinic
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Team-oriented and collaborative
