Registered Nurse - ER - Seasonal at York Hospital – Wells, Maine

We are seeking a full-time Seasonal Emergency Department RN to join our Emergent Care Team! This will be a 36 hour per week, 7:45 am to 7:00 pm shift at our campus in Wells, Maine. Seasonal rates will apply between Memorial Day and Indigenous People's Day.

The ER Nurse is a professional Registered nurse who is accountable for the delivery of quality care to patients with varied diagnoses in our 13 bed, fast-paced Emergency Room. This includes:

• Assessing, coordinating and participating in the care and teaching for patients
• Ensuring that patient care is delivered in collaboration with the patient, family members, physicians, peers and other members of the healthcare team.
• Maintaining the highest standards of nursing practice in the clinical setting and responsibility for creating exceptional patient/family experiences during the delivery of this care
• Competency in caring for acute stroke, cardiac, pediatrics, geriatrics and trauma patients.

Education requirements: RN program completion required; BSN or enrollment in BSN program preferred

Experience: 1 – 2 years nursing experience in practice setting

Licensure: ME or compact RN license BLS required

Certification: BLS required; ACLS required; PALS preferred; TNCC preferred;

MOAB or equivalent training preferred
