About the Role:

The MA and FD position is a dual-role opportunity combining the responsibilities of a Medical Assistant (MA) and a Front Desk (FD) Coordinator within a healthcare setting. The primary goal of this role is to ensure seamless patient care by efficiently managing clinical tasks alongside front office operations. This position requires balancing patient interaction, clinical support, and administrative duties to enhance the overall patient experience and operational workflow. The successful candidate will act as a vital link between patients, healthcare providers, and administrative staff, ensuring accuracy in patient records and smooth appointment scheduling. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to the quality of care delivered and the efficiency of the healthcare facility.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant from an accredited program.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and clinical procedures.
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working in a healthcare front desk or administrative role.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Bilingual abilities to support diverse patient populations.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and check in patients, verifying personal and insurance information accurately.
  • Assist healthcare providers with clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, preparing patients for examinations, and administering basic medical procedures under supervision.
  • Manage appointment scheduling, patient flow, and follow-up communications to optimize clinic operations.
  • Maintain and update patient medical records in compliance with privacy regulations and organizational standards.
  • Handle front desk administrative duties including answering phones, processing payments, and coordinating referrals.
