Shop Technician Field Coordinator at BLAKE & PENDLETON INC – Macon, Georgia

A Blake & Pendleton Shop Tech Field Coordinator is responsible for supporting daily shop operations through facility upkeep, equipment maintenance coordination, material handling, and shipping/receiving activities. This role ensures the shop environment remains safe, organized, and efficient while supporting production and operational needs

The Shop Tech Field Coordinator must have the necessary safety training and certifications as determined by industry agencies (e.g., OSHA, MHSA). Shop Field Coordinators are frequently required to lift over 50 lbs. and occasionally exceed 100 lbs., climb ladders, and carry buckets of lubricants weighing between 25 lbs. & 55 lbs.

Shop Tech Field Coordinator's key responsibilities are:

• Perform routine inspections of shop and facility areas to ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety compliance
• Coordinate minor repairs and report major maintenance needs
• Maintain shop supplies and ensure proper storage of materials and equipment
• Monitor and coordinate maintenance schedules for company vehicles and forklifts
• Perform basic preventative maintenance checks (fluids, tires, batteries, etc.)
• Maintain maintenance logs and ensure equipment is in safe operating condition
• Transport parts, materials, and equipment between locations as needed
• Load and unload materials using forklifts or other equipment
• Ensure proper handling and securing of transported items
• Prepare outgoing shipments, including packaging, labeling, and documentation
• Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and damage
• Maintain shipping/receiving records and coordinate with vendors and internal teams
• Assist shop personnel with operational needs as required
• Maintain a safe work environment by following all company safety policies and procedures
• Operate forklifts and other equipment in accordance with safety guidelines

Shop Tech Field Coordinator's work environment is:

• Primarily shop/warehouse environment
• Exposure to varying temperatures, noise, and equipment operation
• Frequent standing, walking, lifting, and operating machinery

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Prior experience in a warehouse, shop support, or similar hands-on role
• Forklift certification (or ability to obtain)
• Basic mechanical knowledge of vehicles and equipment
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to [insert weight, e.g., 50 lbs])
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic recordkeeping and communication skills
