Feedmill Driver at Pine Manor Inc – Nappanee, Indiana

Important Requirement: Applicants must hold a valid CDL-A (Commercial Driver’s License – Class A) to be considered for this position. Please do not apply if you do not currently possess a CDL-A license or if your license is expired.

Primary Function

The Driver will drive the feed truck to the farms and back and deliver feed. Driver may be required to pick up feed. Perform pre-trip inspections daily

• Check vehicles to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment is in good working order.

• Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions and checking that vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.

• Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.

• Operate equipment, such as truck cab computers, CB radios, and telephones, to exchange necessary information with bases, supervisors, or other drivers.

• Read and interpret maps to determine vehicle routes.

• Complete all required paperwork correctly and completely

• Must wear safety harness when loading truck at height of approximately 14 feet

• Must be willing to cross train in other departments

• Ability to work in hot and cold environments and inclement weather

• Must be at least 21 years of age with 2 years driving experience

• Must bring a MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) from the license branch

• Must have pass a driving test

• Employees must keep their license and DOT physical documents current and they must comply with random drug testing as is required by DOT

• Drivers must comply with Seat Belt and safety rules

• All other duties as assigned
