Receptionist – Full Time | $16.00–$18.00/hr | Worcester, MA
The Knollwood Nursing Center at The Briarwood Community is hiring a Receptionist to join our Administrative Team. This full-time role is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong customer service, communication, and administrative skills who is looking to grow in healthcare administration. Typical schedule is Monday–Friday, daytime hours, with flexibility based on organizational needs.

Greet residents, families, visitors, vendors, and staff in a courteous and professional manner
Answer, screen, and route incoming phone calls; take accurate messages and respond to general inquiries
Support front desk operations, including visitor check-in and directing guests appropriately
Process invoices, verify charges, and route documentation for payment and approval
Assist with billing-related inquiries and communicate with internal departments as needed
Maintain accurate records and documentation through data entry, filing, scanning, and copying
Receive, sort, and distribute mail and deliveries
Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations
Ensure the reception area remains clean, organized, and welcoming
Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support daily operations
High school diploma or equivalent required
Previous receptionist, administrative, or healthcare office experience preferred
Experience processing invoices or supporting billing functions preferred
Familiarity with EMR systems and medical office procedures preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment
Customer service–oriented mindset with professionalism and empathy
