Director of IT

As Director of IT, you will define and execute the company’s technology strategy, ensuring systems are secure, efficient, and aligned with business goals. You will oversee a diverse team of IT professionals while driving operational excellence across infrastructure, support, and internal platforms. The position requires a balance of hands-on technical leadership and strategic vision, with a strong focus on scalability and performance. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally to support compliance, security, and business initiatives. Accountabilities:
  • Lead, mentor, and scale a high-performing IT team across multiple disciplines, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
  • Define and implement a comprehensive IT roadmap aligned with organizational growth and financial objectives
  • Oversee IT operations and support services to ensure high availability, rapid issue resolution, and strong user satisfaction
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to optimize system performance, uptime, and operational efficiency
  • Manage IT budgets strategically, ensuring cost-effectiveness and strong return on investment
  • Own vendor relationships, including contract negotiations and service-level agreements, while ensuring tools meet evolving business needs
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address compliance, security, and regulatory requirements
  • Act as the executive escalation point for critical incidents, infrastructure transformations, and major technology initiatives

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in IT, including expertise in macOS endpoint management, SaaS platforms, identity systems, and infrastructure engineering
  • 5+ years of leadership experience managing and growing IT teams in dynamic environments
  • Proven hands-on technical leadership in areas such as automation, internal tooling, and identity architecture design
  • Demonstrated success in scaling IT operations within fast-paced, high-growth technology organizations
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to align technical strategies with organizational priorities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills across technical and non-technical teams
  • Experience in remote or distributed work environments is a plus
  • Familiarity with security and compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, or GDPR/CCPA is advantageous
