This senior finance leadership role is responsible for overseeing and shaping the global tax strategy of a fast-growing technology organization operating across multiple jurisdictions. The position plays a critical role in ensuring compliance with U.S. and international tax regulations while optimizing the company’s overall tax position in support of business expansion. You will lead end-to-end tax operations including planning, compliance, reporting, forecasting, and audit management. The role requires close collaboration with executive leadership and cross-functional teams such as Accounting, Legal, Treasury, and FP&A. You will also advise on strategic initiatives including M&A, international structuring, and new business models. - Lead and oversee all aspects of global tax operations, including compliance, planning, forecasting, reporting, and strategic tax initiatives.
- Manage U.S. federal, state, and international tax filings, including partnership-related reporting (e.g., Form 1065 and K-1s) and related analysis.
- Oversee accounting for income taxes, including preparation and review of quarterly and annual tax provisions and financial statement disclosures.
- Develop and maintain accurate cash tax forecasting models, analyzing variances and providing insights to leadership.
- Manage external tax advisors and global service providers, ensuring quality, accuracy, and alignment with internal expectations.
- Provide expertise on global withholding tax, transfer pricing, and intercompany structuring across multiple jurisdictions.
- Support strategic transactions including M&A, restructurings, and international expansion from a tax perspective.
- Lead tax audit processes and act as primary liaison with federal, state, and international tax authorities.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and tax governance standards across the organization.
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Treasury, HR, and Operations to support business and tax planning initiatives.
- Mentor and develop internal tax team members, fostering a high-performing and collaborative culture.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA license and/or Master’s in Taxation required.
- 15+ years of combined public accounting and corporate tax experience, including significant international exposure.
- Strong expertise in U.S. federal, state, and international tax law and ASC 740 tax accounting standards.
- Experience in SaaS, cloud, or digital product-based business environments strongly preferred.
- Prior experience managing outsourced tax providers, including Big Four advisory firms.
- Strong knowledge of partnership taxation, investment structures, and complex entity arrangements is a plus.
- Demonstrated leadership experience building and managing high-performing tax teams.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to simplify complex tax concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to drive process improvements, automation, and tax function optimization.
- Competitive base salary range: $210,000 – $250,000 annually.
