This leadership role sits at the center of a high-impact commercial organization focused on advancing eye care solutions across the Iberian market. You will be responsible for driving sales performance, shaping national account strategies, and leading a field sales team across Spain and Portugal. The role combines strategic account development with hands-on commercial execution, ensuring strong partnerships with key optical and healthcare stakeholders. You will define and implement innovative sales approaches, including digital and remote selling strategies, to strengthen market reach and customer engagement. Working in a fast-paced, field-based environment, you will collaborate closely with marketing and medical teams to deliver integrated commercial programs. This is a pivotal position for a results-driven leader who can balance strategic vision, operational excellence, and team development to accelerate business growth.
In this role, you will lead sales strategy execution and team performance across the Iberian optical channel:
- Develop and manage national and key accounts, ensuring long-term partnerships and preferred vendor status
- Design and implement account strategies, including contract negotiations and customer development plans
- Lead sales planning and execution to achieve revenue, growth, and market share targets
- Define and deploy innovative selling approaches, including digital, remote, and hybrid sales models
- Analyze market dynamics, competitor activity, and retail/wholesale trends to inform strategy
- Organize customer events and commercial programs in collaboration with marketing and medical teams
- Build, lead, and coach a high-performing sales team through ongoing training and performance management
- Ensure alignment between field execution, marketing strategy, and overall business objectives
The ideal candidate combines strong commercial leadership with deep industry experience and strategic thinking:
- At least 10 years of experience in sales and marketing, including leadership roles in commercial management
- Background in Eye Care, Medical Devices, or FMCG industries is highly valued
- Proven track record in managing large accounts and delivering sales growth in competitive markets
- Strong leadership skills with experience developing and motivating field sales teams
- Excellent business acumen and customer-centric mindset
- Ability to collaborate effectively across marketing, medical, and cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret market and performance data
- Fluent Spanish required; strong English skills mandatory for international collaboration; Portuguese is a plus
- Willingness to work in a field-based role with frequent travel across the Iberian region
