Part-time Night Custodian - School/Church

Location: Belmont Area, Nashville, TN

Department: Custodial - ServiceFM LLC
Reports To: Custodial Supervisor
Employment Type: Hourly (Non-Exempt)

Compensation: $17 per hour plus some benefits

Position Summary:

ServiceFM LLC is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Part-Time Night Custodian to join our custodial team at a school/church facility in the Belmont area. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work and is committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform daily custodial duties, including:
  • Sweeping, mopping (wet and dry), dusting, and vacuuming
  • Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, classrooms, hallways, offices, cafeteria, and common areas
  • Emptying trash and picking up debris from the floors and grounds
  • Cleaning interior windows and doors
• Event setup and breakdown (e.g., furniture moves, assembly setups)
• Floor and carpet maintenance (especially during school breaks)
• Secure all buildings at the end of each shift and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
• Support weekend cleaning for scheduled events

Work Schedule:
Approximately 24+ hours per week, including weekends on rotation:

• Monday – Friday: 6:00 PM – 10:00 PM
  • Extra hours and flexibility are required to work past 10:00 PM on occasion for special events or extended cleaning needs
• Sundays (rotating shifts):
  • 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM
• Saturdays: Required occasionally with advance notice (event-based)

• Previous custodial or janitorial experience is preferred
• Consistent and reliable attendance, with strong punctuality
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and extended hours as needed
• Must successfully pass a background check to work in a school environment
• Physically capable of performing labor-intensive tasks, including walking, bending, stretching, lifting up to 50 pounds, pulling, and pushing
• Demonstrates a strong work ethic, professionalism, and customer service mindset
• Works well independently and as part of a team
• Able to accurately track and log work hours using a smartphone or mobile device
