About This Position

Why Join the Del Mar Vacations Team

Del Mar Vacations is a Veteran-owned and operated, full-service vacation rental company on Cape Cod. We specialize in providing 5-star experiences to our guests, homeowners and each other. As a hospitality and service first culture, our team and their talents are the key to our success.

Working at Del Mar means you will be surrounded by passionate, smart, and engaged people who are focused on superior problem solving and outstanding customer service. Our ideal candidates enjoy working in a small, tight-knit, high energy and supportive team, are intellectually curious, comfortable with ambiguity, have a positive outlook, and are able to pivot quickly as things change.

Our values make this more than just a job:

  • Be Reliable. Reliable. Reliable.
  • Think like a Guest. Think like a Homeowner. Think like a Team Member.
  • The Obstacle is the Opportunity.
  • Make it Happen.
  • Be Anti-Fragile.

If that resonates with you, keep reading.

About the Role:

Are you the kind of person who brings order, warmth, and celebration to every corner of a workplace? Someone who makes things better and more fun? This role sits at the intersection of people, process, and culture, and no two days will look the same. We're looking for a proactive, people-first People & Culture Manager who genuinely cares about the team around them, thrives in a fast-moving environment, and takes pride in making the workplace run beautifully.

Core Responsibilities
  • Support HR Operations & Compliance
    • Maintain accurate, well-organized employee records and HR files
    • Support documentation and processes across leave management, accommodations, and related compliance areas (including, but not limited to, FMLA, PFML, and ADA)
    • Be a go-to resource for employee questions on benefits, policies, and day-to-day HR logistics, escalating when needed
    • Help ensure paperwork, filings, and people processes stay organized and on time
  • Recruiting & Onboarding
    • Post open roles, screen applicants, and coordinate interviews using our applicant tracking system
    • Keep candidate pipelines organized and hiring managers in the loop
    • Own the onboarding experience — make every new hire's first days feel intentional and warm
    • Help coordinate performance review cycles, training sessions, and people program logistics
  • Office Management
    • Keep our office clean, functional, and a place people genuinely enjoy being
    • Manage supplies, tech setups, furniture, and schedule postings
    • Coordinate office improvement projects and renovations as they come up
    • Welcome visitors and host meetings with care and professionalism
  • Culture & Team Experience
    • Help plan and execute team events, from big celebrations to spontaneous moments worth marking
    • Manage team swag — sourcing, ordering, and making sure it reflects who we are
    • Celebrate milestones with gifts, shoutouts, and events that feel personal
    • Help build out and maintain our "Team Member Experience" perks program
    • Support culture surveys and help turn the results into real action
    • Assist with employer brand and team training initiatives
    • Support the onboarding experience so new hires feel the Del Mar culture day one
    • Host meetings and visitors with warmth and professionalism
    • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by your manager or leadership team — we're a growing company and opportunities to contribute show up in all kinds of ways

  • A genuine love of planning, celebrating, and making people feel valued
  • Comfortable in Rippling or a similar HRIS/ATS platform
  • Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
  • Clear and kind communicator across all forms of communication
  • HR compliance knowledge is a plus but not required- a willingness to learn is
  • A love of Cape Cod and an appreciation for a team that works hard and has fun doing it

Benefits

  • 2 weeks of vacation time
  • 1 week of sick time
  • Partially subsidized health insurance
  • HSA (health savings account)
