Melmark Overview
Melmark is a nonprofit organization providing clinically-sophisticated evidence-based special education, residential, vocational, and therapeutic services for children and adults diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders, developmental and intellectual disabilities, acquired brain injuries, medical complexities, and other neurological and genetic disorders.
Program Manager Overview
Provides direct supervision to Adult Services staff. Ensures all program goals are met, all regulatory requirements are followed, and all staff duties are performed in a timely and accurate manner and ensures the cleanliness and safety of the homes. Ensures the highest level of care, service and engagement with the residents of the homes.
Schedule and Salary Information
- Schedule: Tuesday- Saturday 1p-9p (flexibility needed based on program needs)
- On call rotation
- Fully on-site (community homes are all in Delaware County — Springfield, Swarthmore, with meetings held on campus in Berwyn, PA)
- Starting Salary: $49,920.00 (+) based on years of experience
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required
- A valid US driver’s license and a minimum age of twenty-one (21) years old.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in a residential or special education setting or working in the behavior analytic field.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
Program Manager Responsibilities
- Ensures staff training, data collection, implementation of client ISPs, and active and appropriate engagement with residents
- Oversees client homes and staff performance
- Works with Residential team to develop and implement systems to assure quality programming in all homes. Coordinates and monitors all assigned individuals’ active treatment programs.
- Communicates regularly with the families regarding each individual’s need for clothing and personal possessions, and obtains permission for the use of residents’ personal funds.
- Keeps families informed of residents’ needs and progress and serves as a liaison between Melmark and families. Provides the highest possible level of support and courtesy to families, always modeling Standards of Professionalism.
- Ensures that programs meet all regulatory requirements of various regulating agencies. Ensures homes are 100% “survey ready” at all times.
