This role is focused on driving strategic growth across biospecimen solutions, including biofluids, tissues, cells, and other specialty laboratory offerings within the life sciences ecosystem. You will be responsible for identifying and closing high-value business opportunities while expanding long-term client relationships across biotech, pharma, and research organizations. The position requires a strong blend of scientific understanding, commercial acumen, and relationship-building expertise. You will operate in a highly dynamic, client-facing environment where pipeline development and revenue growth are key priorities. A core part of the role involves translating client needs into tailored laboratory and clinical solutions in collaboration with internal scientific and operational teams. This is a high-impact position that directly contributes to advancing translational research and precision medicine initiatives.
- Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities across biospecimen services, including biofluids, tissues, cells, and specialty lab offerings.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, mapping organizational structures and identifying decision-makers to support long-term account growth.
- Drive revenue expansion within existing accounts by identifying cross-selling and upselling opportunities across the broader translational sciences portfolio.
- Prospect and qualify new clients within assigned territories to maintain a robust and sustainable sales pipeline.
- Respond to inbound leads and marketing inquiries, ensuring timely qualification and follow-up to convert opportunities into business.
- Lead client engagement efforts including needs analysis, solution positioning, and proposal development in collaboration with internal SMEs.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, laboratory operations, clinical operations, and project management teams to ensure seamless client delivery.
- Represent the organization at industry conferences, trade shows, and scientific meetings to promote services and generate new leads.
- Maintain accurate CRM records and performance metrics to support forecasting and pipeline management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or a related scientific field.
- 1–2 years of experience in sales within the life sciences or healthcare industry, or 3+ years in laboratory research, clinical operations, or scientific customer support roles.
- Strong understanding of life sciences terminology, laboratory services, and clinical research workflows.
- Proven ability to manage a sales pipeline, close business, and build long-term client relationships.
- Demonstrated experience working independently while meeting or exceeding performance targets.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills across technical and commercial stakeholders.
- Ability to think strategically while executing tactically in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 35%, including domestic and international travel as required.
- Valid driver’s license and full professional proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Strong collaboration mindset with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Competitive base salary ranging from approximately $174,000 to $261,000 USD, depending on experience and qualifications.
