This role sits at the intersection of law, entertainment, and creative production within a fast-paced consumer health and wellness environment. You will support a wide range of commercial and production-related legal matters, working closely with marketing, creative, and production teams to enable high-quality content creation while managing legal risk. The position involves negotiating complex agreements across talent, music, branded content, and licensing, often within evolving digital and AI-driven workflows. You will play a key role in shaping scalable legal frameworks that support creative output at scale. This is a highly collaborative role where business-minded legal guidance is essential to enabling innovation. You will also advise on emerging issues such as AI-generated content, IP rights, and evolving industry standards. In this role, you will provide legal guidance and support across a wide variety of commercial, production, and creative initiatives, ensuring compliance while enabling business growth.
- Draft, review, and negotiate production and creative agreements, including talent, crew, and production services contracts
- Handle SAG-AFTRA agreements and ensure compliance with union rules and obligations
- Negotiate music-related agreements such as sync licenses, master use licenses, and publishing deals
- Review and negotiate branded content, influencer, and creative agency agreements
- Advise internal teams on legal risks, deal structures, and production strategy, including AI-related considerations
- Support rights management, IP licensing, and content clearance processes in collaboration with relevant teams
- Review data processing agreements (DPAs), BAAs, and other information security-related contracts where applicable
- Help improve contracting processes, policies, and scalable legal frameworks for creative and production workflows
This role requires strong experience in commercial and entertainment law, particularly within production, media, or creative industries, along with the ability to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school
- Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- 5+ years of legal experience, including at least 4 years in entertainment, production, or creative commercial transactions
- Strong experience negotiating production, talent, music, and branded content agreements
- Familiarity with SAG-AFTRA rules, union agreements, and production compliance requirements
- Experience with IP licensing, content clearance, and rights management workflows
- Understanding of AI-related legal issues in creative contexts, including generative AI and content ownership
- Experience with DPAs, BAAs, and data/security-related agreements
- Strong communication skills with the ability to deliver clear, business-oriented legal advice
- Ability to balance legal risk with commercial objectives in fast-paced environments
- Collaborative mindset with strong adaptability and problem-solving skills
- Experience in entertainment, production companies, agencies, or consumer brands with content operations is a plus
