About This Position
Purpose: The purpose of a figure skating/ice skating instructor is to teach individuals and groups ice skating and figure skating skills from beginner to advanced levels.
Major Responsibilities
- Ensure that each member and guest receives outstanding guest service in a guest friendly environment which includes greeting and acknowledging every member and guest, maintaining outstanding service standards, solid product knowledge and all other components of guest service.
- Empowered to guarantee total guest satisfaction, display hospitality and professionalism to our guests at all times, take pride in representing Yellowstone Club professionally with our members and guests and assure that all transactions with guests are handled in a legal and ethical manner.
- Understand and apply all property safety and security procedures to maintain a secure and safe environment for employees, members, and guests at all times. In the event of an accident or emergency, seek medical attention if necessary and contact the General Manager or Human Resources immediately.
- Maintain a favorable working relationship with all company employees to foster and promote a positive working environment.

- Instruction: Teach fundamental skating skills and figure skating techniques to students of all ages and abilities.
- Lesson planning: Develop and implement structured lesson plans, adapting them to individual and group needs.
- Progress assessment: Evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback to help them meet their goals.
- Safety: Maintain a safe and welcoming learning environment for all students on the ice.
- Choreography: For advanced instructors, this can include selecting music and choreographing routines for competitive or recreational skaters.
- Event support: Assist in organizing and executing skating events, shows, and competitions.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with students, parents, and other staff to support student advancement.
- Mentorship: Serve as a role model and inspire students to develop a love for the sport.
- Complete and submit incident reports as needed.
