This role is a key technical leadership position focused on building and evolving advanced antifraud and security solutions within a high-scale digital banking environment. You will act as a strategic bridge between engineering, architecture, product, risk, and security teams, driving critical technical decisions that directly impact platform safety and trust. The position involves leading the design of secure, scalable, and resilient systems while ensuring alignment with regulatory and industry security standards. You will play a central role in shaping antifraud capabilities such as real-time risk analysis, fraud detection, and prevention systems. Working in a fast-paced fintech environment, you will influence both technical direction and engineering practices across teams. This is a hands-on leadership role suited for someone who combines deep technical expertise with strong architectural vision and security mindset.
- Act as the primary technical reference for antifraud initiatives, guiding architecture, design, and implementation decisions.
- Lead the development of secure, scalable backend systems using Node.js and TypeScript, ensuring high performance and resilience.
- Define and enforce best practices in software engineering, architecture, and security across development teams.
- Conduct strategic code reviews, identify risks, and ensure technical quality and consistency across deliverables.
- Collaborate with Product Owners and cross-functional teams to translate business and risk requirements into technical solutions.
- Monitor system performance, operational metrics, and technical risks, proactively addressing issues and improving reliability.
- Mentor engineers, fostering technical growth and promoting a strong engineering culture within the team.
- Contribute to architectural evolution and decision-making for antifraud platforms and security-critical systems.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields.
- Strong experience in backend development with Node.js and TypeScript, focused on scalable and secure applications.
- Solid knowledge of AWS cloud services (Lambda, API Gateway, Cognito, CloudWatch, KMS).
- Experience with relational and non-relational databases such as Aurora, DynamoDB, and Redis.
- Hands-on experience integrating systems using REST APIs, Webhooks, and messaging systems (SNS, SQS).
- Strong knowledge of application security practices including OAuth2, JWT, mTLS, PKI, WAF, and OWASP Top 10.
- Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Datadog, Grafana, New Relic, or Dynatrace.
- Background in antifraud systems, including risk analysis, decision engines, or real-time fraud detection solutions.
- Familiarity with security frameworks such as OWASP ASVS, NIST CSF, or MITRE ATT&CK.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence across teams and communicate technical risks clearly.
- Bonus: security and cloud certifications such as AWS Security Specialty, CEH, or CompTIA Security+.
