Responsibilities:

• Understand project scope, program requirements, and design-build specifications
• Determine key variables for cost estimation, including labor, materials, and production timelines
• Gather first-hand information from job sites, vendors, and project stakeholders
• Conduct research to obtain data on labor costs, materials, and production rates
• Utilize estimating software (McCormick, EMB, Excel, etc.) for analysis, forecasting, and budgeting
• Obtain, review, and evaluate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers
• Perform risk analysis to identify cost uncertainties and project risks
• Prepare and submit detailed estimate reports and competitive bids
• Build and maintain relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and engineers
• Provide consultation on project planning, including scheduling and manpower requirements

Required Experience:

• Proven experience as a Senior Estimator or similar role within electrical construction
• Minimum 3+ years of design-build estimating experience
• 5+ years of electrical estimating experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of cost analysis, estimation methods, and financial principles
• Proficiency with estimating software such as McCormick, EMB, and Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines simultaneously
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills

Preferred Experience:

• Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) certification
• Experience supporting heavy commercial or large-scale electrical projects
• Strong vendor and subcontractor network within the electrical industry
