Job Description
This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Forward Deployed AI Engineer in Germany.
This is a high-impact, client-facing engineering role at the forefront of applied artificial intelligence, where advanced AI systems are deployed directly into complex enterprise environments. You will lead end-to-end AI engagements, from technical discovery and solution architecture to production deployment and long-term operational success. The role combines deep hands-on engineering with strategic customer interaction, requiring you to design scalable multi-agent systems and production-grade AI solutions tailored to real-world business needs. You will also play a key role in shaping internal methodologies by creating reusable deployment frameworks and enabling broader consulting and solutions teams. Operating in a fast-evolving AI landscape, you will work closely with enterprise clients, transforming how they integrate and operationalize AI. This role is ideal for a senior engineer who thrives at the intersection of architecture, delivery, and innovation.
- Lead full lifecycle AI deployments, including discovery, architecture design, implementation, validation, and production handover to internal or client teams.
- Design and implement multi-agent AI systems and production LLM solutions, including orchestration, tool use, RAG pipelines, and evaluation frameworks.
- Develop client-specific AI solutions such as MCP resource packs and deployment kits that enable scalable and reusable AI adoption.
- Lead technical workshops and AI deployment sessions, translating customer needs into structured, production-ready requirements.
- Build and maintain high-quality deployment documentation, ensuring solutions are transferable and usable by non-engineering stakeholders.
- Drive continuous improvement of AI deployment methodologies through field insights, technical memos, and platform feedback loops.
- Mentor junior engineers and support capability development across deployment teams, including code reviews and technical guidance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance AI product capabilities and contribute to internal innovation initiatives and RFCs.
Requirements:
- 6–10+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years deploying AI/ML systems into production environments.
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience with TypeScript/JavaScript in production systems.
- Proven track record delivering complex enterprise technical engagements and managing senior stakeholder relationships.
- Deep experience with production LLM systems, including multi-agent architectures, RAG optimization, and tool-augmented AI systems.
- Strong system design and architecture skills across cloud, enterprise, and AI-native environments.
- Ability to create reusable engineering assets, frameworks, and documentation used by broader teams.
- Excellent communication skills, including technical writing, solution documentation, and executive-level presentations.
- Experience working in fast-paced environments with high ownership and cross-functional collaboration.
- Ability to travel internationally and work onsite with clients as required.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
- Fluency in English; eligibility to work in Germany required.
Benefits:
- Competitive compensation package aligned with senior AI engineering roles.
- High-impact role working directly with enterprise clients on cutting-edge AI deployments.
- Strong autonomy and ownership across technical architecture and solution design.
- Opportunity to shape internal AI deployment standards and reusable frameworks.
- Exposure to advanced LLM systems, multi-agent architectures, and real-world production AI scaling.
- International collaboration and client-facing experience across diverse industries.
- Career growth in a fast-evolving applied AI environment.
- Flexible hybrid/remote working model with travel opportunities.
