Senior Director, Media Analytics, Commercial Strategy & Acceleration

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Director, Media Analytics, Commercial Strategy & Acceleration in Canada.

In this senior leadership role, you will define and drive the analytics vision that powers media performance and advertiser investment decisions across a large-scale retail media ecosystem. You will lead a sizeable, high-performing analytics organization focused on measurement science, experimentation, and media effectiveness, ensuring insights translate into measurable business impact for major global brands. Acting at the intersection of data science, commercial strategy, and advertising technology, you will partner closely with cross-functional teams including product, engineering, and sales to shape how media performance is measured and optimized. This role requires strong executive presence and the ability to translate complex analytical outputs into clear, actionable narratives for senior stakeholders. You will also play a key role in advancing industry standards in media measurement and ensuring data governance and privacy-safe practices. It is a high-impact position suited for a strategic, hands-on leader who thrives in fast-paced, evolving environments.

Accountabilities:
  • Define and lead the end-to-end media analytics strategy, including measurement frameworks, experimentation, and performance insights for advertising products
  • Manage and scale a large analytics organization, fostering a high-performance, inclusive, and talent-driven culture
  • Develop and standardize methodologies for incrementality testing, causal inference, MMM, attribution, and media effectiveness measurement
  • Partner with sales and commercial teams to translate complex analytics into compelling client narratives that drive advertiser investment
  • Oversee the integration of first-party and third-party measurement solutions, including MMM providers and clean room technologies
  • Establish governance, data quality, and privacy-safe measurement standards across analytics practices
  • Drive strategic planning, OKRs, and prioritization across multiple analytics initiatives to maximize business impact
  • Represent the organization in industry forums and contribute to the advancement of retail media measurement standards
Requirements:
  • 12+ years of experience in media analytics, marketing science, or advertising measurement within digital or retail media environments
  • 7+ years of leadership experience managing large analytics teams, including managers and senior individual contributors
  • Deep expertise in experimental design, causal inference, MMM, incrementality testing, and attribution modeling
  • Strong technical proficiency in SQL and advanced programming skills in Python or R
  • Proven experience influencing senior executives and enterprise clients to drive strategic investment decisions
  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to connect analytics to commercial outcomes
  • Experience with privacy-safe measurement tools, clean rooms, and identity resolution solutions is highly valued
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with a track record of cross-functional collaboration
