JOB SUMMARY:
The Jazz Youth Programs Coordinator plays a key role in the planning, execution, and ongoing development of Jazz Youth programs and operations. This position serves as a point of contact for youth program partners and is responsible for managing day-to-day program execution while ensuring a high standard of organization, communication, and service.
This role requires a highly organized, proactive professional who can operate independently, manage multiple priorities, and build strong relationships both within the organization and across the community. The Coordinator will support and enhance the operational efficiency of programs including Junior Jazz, Camps, Clinics & Combines, Jazz Kids Club, 3v3, Jazz Bantam, and Lady Notes, while identifying opportunities to streamline processes and elevate program impact. This position will also collaborate closely across all Jazz Youth departments to ensure alignment, consistency, and continued program growth.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Operations & Execution
- Oversee day-to-day operations of Jazz Youth programs, ensuring seamless execution across all initiatives.
- Assist with Junior Jazz ticket inventory, including tracking, reporting, and distribution processes.
- Assist and help coordinate jersey ordering, fulfillment, and vendor relationships.
- Assist with the 3v3 Tournament series, along with sponsor fulfillment.
- Assist with the planning, and execution of youth events, player appearances, parties, sportsmanship initiatives, coach training, referee training, partner activations, and other events as needed.
Partnership & Relationship Management
- Serve as one of the main contacts for existing youth program partners, ensuring consistent communication and strong relationship management.
- Identify and develop new community partnerships to expand program reach and impact.
- Collaborate with internal departments to align efforts and deliver cohesive youth programming experiences.
- Support the growth and visibility of programs such as Jazz Kids Club and 3v3 initiatives.
Process Improvement & Innovation
- Evaluate current processes/operations and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, organization, and scalability.
- Maintain program traditions while introducing thoughtful enhancements to improve overall effectiveness.
- Implement systems that streamline operations without compromising quality or customer experience.
- Contribute ideas that support long-term growth and innovation across all youth programs.
Leadership & Culture
- Operate with a high level of ownership and accountability in managing programs, operations, and partnerships.
- Communicate clearly and proactively with internal teams, partners, and stakeholders.

- Provide support and guidance to part-time staff, interns, and event personnel as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in youth sports programming, event operations, or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
- Proven experience managing programs, events, and/or partnerships at a high level.
- Strong organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across teams.
- Experience working with vendors, community partners, and large-scale events.
- Proficiency in basic computer software programs.
- Ability to work half of the home Jazz games and irregular hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) as required.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must possess a valid Utah driver’s license.
- Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) screening in accordance with company policy and insurance requirements.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to observe, inspect, and assess program and event needs.
- Ability to stand, move, and assist during events and on-site activations as needed.
