Cat Care & Facility Support - Part Time at Three Little Pitties Rescue – Friendswood, Texas

Daily Care & Maintenance- twice daily, five days per week (flexibility on which days but must work with Boarding Manager coverage abilities)

• Clean and maintain the cat barn and individual kennels/condos.
  
  
• Scoop and sanitize litter boxes to maintain hygiene and odor control.
  
  
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of all cat-related areas across rescue properties.
• Set and maintain practices to prevent cross contamination.
• Ensure all policies and procedures are followed to maintain appropriate quarantine protocols within the cat quarantine area by fellow staff members and volunteers at boarding managers discretion.

Animal Care & Socialization

• Administer minor medical care, including oral and topical medications, as directed.
  
  
• Socialize cats and kittens to help prepare them for adoption or foster placement.
  
  
• Monitor cats for changes in behavior or health and communicate concerns promptly.
  
  

Inventory & Operations

• Monitor and report inventory levels of cat food, litter, and supplies.
  
  
• Assist with cat food and supply distribution and maintain log sheets.
  
  

Coordination, Transport & Clinic Support

• Maintain communication with the Boarding Manager and relevant departments regarding cat needs and boarding movement.
  
  
• Assist with setup and breakdown of temporary kennels for early transport drop-offs.
  
  
• Assist with transporting cats and kittens to and from veterinary clinics as needed.
  
  
• Support veterinary clinic staff with cat care tasks when additional help is required.
• Attend all transports to support the preparation process and maintain quality, communication, notes on medications, etc to help prevent errors and send healthy cats on transport; also load cats onto vehicles or input medical or anything else needed for cat transport.

Adoption & Media Support

• Assist with video interviews for potential adopters of cats housed in the cat barn.
  
  
• Assist with photo and video updates for adoption and foster promotion.
  
  

Volunteer & Team Support

• Assist with training and support of volunteers working in the cat barn to ensure consistent care and protocols.

• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
  
  
• Comfort handling cats of various temperaments
  
  
• Prior rescue, shelter, or foster experience preferred but not required
