Responsibilities

Join our Channel Performance Team as a Business Storyteller and become a vital force in shaping and communicating the narratives that drive our business forward. In this role, you will serve as a trusted strategic partner - translating complex business priorities and initiatives into clear, compelling stories that resonate across diverse audiences and inspire action.

As a champion of alignment and collaboration, you will work closely with program and sub-program teams to craft and deliver storytelling solutions that accelerate decision-making, inspire action, and drive results, while fostering meaningful connections across our organization.

Leveraging your expertise in content creation, multimedia tools, and stakeholder engagement, you will drive the delivery of storytelling shared services that ensure consistent and impactful communication aligned with our Channel Performance strategies and priorities. This role requires an innovative mindset and the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as an extension of our program and sub-program teams—including Amplifying the Business, Growing the Business, Managing the Business, and Modernizing the Business—by serving as a trusted strategic partner, modeling collaboration and driving delivery through clear and compelling stories.
  • Develop innovative and persuasive content solutions across a variety of delivery formats and channels that amplify our brand identity.
  • Produce audience-focused stories that distill high-level business goals and complex concepts into deliverables that resonate, accelerate decision-making, inspire action, and drive results.
  • Drive our business forward by delivering storytelling shared services that create connections across Channel Performance ensuring alignment to our strategies, priorities and corresponding narratives.
  • Provide storytelling coaching, consultation, and support for initiatives of varying scale, ensuring responsiveness to our evolving environment.
  • Elevate the storytelling philosophy and technical acumen of all Channel Performance associates through targeted upskilling and knowledge sharing.

Work Locations: Bloomington, IL-Corporate, Dunwoody, GA-ParkCenter Hub, Richardson, TX-CityLine Hub or Tempe, AZ-Marina Heights Hub locations.

Hybrid Work arrangement: A "Hybrid" position means selected candidates will be assigned to a facility and will spend some time working both in office and from their home.



Qualifications
  • Exceptional storytelling and communication skills, with demonstrated ability to translate complex business concepts into clear, engaging, and persuasive content.
  • Proven experience partnering with leadership at all levels, including executives, to develop and communicate strategic narratives that support business goals.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams and functions.
  • Strong project management skills with an ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver high-impact storytelling solutions in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to coach and mentor colleagues in storytelling techniques and best practices to elevate the organization’s overall communication effectiveness.
  • A creative mindset with a continuous improvement approach to innovating storytelling methods and tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, to create high-quality presentations, reports, and supporting documents.
  • Experience using Adobe Creative Cloud applications (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) to design visually compelling content.
  • Familiarity with video production and editing tools such as Camtasia or similar platforms to develop multimedia storytelling assets.
  • Knowledge of digital communication channels and content formats to optimize storytelling reach and impact.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Business, or a related field preferred.

Our Benefits

Because work-life balance is a priority at State Farm, compensation is based on our standard 38:45-hour work week!

  • Potential starting salary range: $97,000.00 to $149,000.00
    • Starting salary will be based on skills, background, and experience
    • High end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience
  • Potential yearly incentive pay up to 10% of base salary
