About This Position

Class A Driver-Home Daily

Caruso is a family owned, 4th generation company that delivers fresh ready-to-eat, and pre-cut produce, sandwiches, salads, and fresh meal kits to retail distribution centers and direct-to-retail stores all over the USA.
We are looking for an experienced Class A Driver in Cincinnati, OH! This is 100% no touch freight and home daily.
Route picks up between 8am and 1pm. Some locations that it travels to is Louisville KY, Lexington KY, Delaware OH, Columbus OH, Shelbyville IN, Indianapolis IN, Fort Wayne IN, and would have some local city runs as well.
Must be able to work 1 weekend day every week.
Must have at least 9 months of verifiable Class A driving experience within the last 3 years.

Responsibilities:
  • Transport goods to and from manufacturing plant to other divisions.
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical items, safety issues, and perform preventive maintenance.
  • Meet Delivery schedules.
  • Document and log work/rest periods and miles spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts.
  • Comply with truck driving rules and regulations as well as with company policies and procedures.
  • Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions.
  • Collect and verify delivery instructions.
  • Report defects, accidents, or violations.

Requirements:
1. Must be at least 21 years of age.
2. Must have Class A License.
3. Must have at least 9 months of verifiable experience in the last 3 years.
4. Must have a good driving record with none of the following violations:
  • Reckless driving
  • DUI/OMVI
  • Hit and Run
  • Excessive Speed as defined by DOT (15+ miles over)
  • No Preventable Accidents. No more than 2 moving violations within the last 24 months.
5. Ability to work and drive in all types of weather.
6. Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies, and procedures.
7. Excellent and prompt attendance each day scheduled.
8. Experience with refrigerated products and previous route delivery is a plus.
