Position Overview As a nurse at The Geneva Suites, you are the clinical cornerstone of each home. You build lasting relationships with residents and families, ensure clinical excellence, and model the compassionate, personalized approach that defines our homes. You guide our care partners, advocate for residents, and play a critical role in maintaining compliance and enhancing quality of life.
Key Responsibilities Clinical Oversight and Care Planning Conduct RN assessments, develop care plans, and revise as needed. Complete medication set-up, narcotic audits, and medication delegation. Perform new resident admissions, obtain orders, and communicate with physicians. Supervise discharges and transitions of care when necessary. Staff Supervision and Delegation Train and supervise care partners and subordinate nurses. Conduct and document supervisory visits. Identify care partner education needs and facilitate in-service training. Support new care partners during onboarding, including trust transfer meetings with operations staff. Compliance and Documentation Document clinical notes, incidents, and updates in Residex. Monitor care delivery and ensure all services meet 144G compliance standards. Participate in quality assurance and safety audits. Resident and Family Communication Foster trusting relationships with residents and their families. Serve as clinical liaison for families, case managers, and medical professionals. Address questions, care concerns, and ensure consistent follow-up. Team Collaboration and Culture Building Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings. Uphold a supportive and empowering culture within the home. Encourage Care Partners through mentorship, recognition, and communication. Other duties as assigned.
Experience & Qualifications Active RN license in the state of Minnesota. 2+ years of experience in assisted living, home care, or residential care preferred. Experience supervising or training staff is a plus. Strong understanding of state regulations (144G), care planning, and documentation. Excellent communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills. Must be able to read, write, comprehend and carry out directions and instructions Able to function independently Good health status and emotional stability Demonstrate a strong commitment to service excellence
