Registered Medication Aid at Stuarts Draft Retirement Community – Stuarts Draft, Virginia

We are looking for an experienced and qualified Registered Medication Aid with a commitment to exceptional patient care. We are hiring for a Full-Time evening shift RMA. 68-hour RMA certification is required. The ideal applicant should have excellent leadership, organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills. $18.25 - $22 hourly

• Wear appropriate personal protective equipment to ensure safety and universal precautions are met

• Accurately administer prescribed medications to residents in accordance with physician orders, facility policy, and Virginia Department of Social Services (VDSS) regulations
• Document medication administration in the Medication Administration Record
• Monitor residents for side effects or adverse reactions and report promptly to the nursing supervisor
• Ensure controlled substances are properly counted, secured, and documented
• Observe, report, and document changes in residents' physical, emotional, or cognitive condition
• Follow all infection control, safety, and emergency protocols
• Communicate effectively and professionally with residents, visitors, families, physicians, and other staff members
• Provide quality patient care with respect and dignity

• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills are a necessity

• Current unrestricted Virginia Board of Nursing Registered Medication Aid certificate
• 2 years of supervisory experience
• Dependable
• At least 18 years old
• Ability to lift 35+ pounds and be on your feet for extended periods of time
• Exceptional communication skills
• Ability to work as a team player and get along with others
• Reliable transportation
