Residential Companion at Lifesteps Inc – Verona, Pennsylvania

POSITION OBJECTIVE: The Residential Companion provides a high level of quality care to individuals while ensuring that each individual is treated with respect and dignity. Improves the quality of life for each individual by assisting them in learning to live and function as independently as possible in their home and community.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• A minimum of six months of experience as a Residential Aide in Lifesteps' Community Homes Program or working with intellectual and/or development disabilities in a related human services organization.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math functions.
• Demonstrated ability to complete basic computer tasks.
• At least 18 years of age.
• Current driver's license and the ability to travel for business utilizing personal vehicle.

Preferred:

• One year of experience in a Human Services Agency working directly with persons with disabilities, the elderly or children and youth.
• Associates Degree or equivalent credits (60) which includes courses appropriate to the Human Services field.
• Medication Administration Certification.
• First Aid/CPR certification.

Full Time: 7:00am - 11:00pm , 3:00pm - 11:00pm
