RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated & experienced RN for SDS at Monmouth Medical Center.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • RN Degree
  • NJ RN License
  • At least 3 years Peri-Op experience
  • BLS, ACLS & PALS (American Heart Association)

Preferred:

  • BSN
  • Specialty Certification

Scheduling Requirements:

  • Per Diem Day M-F 5:30a-8p

Essential Functions:

  • Caring for our patients in our Same Day Surgery Department
  • RN to be cross trained to care for both outpatient and inpatient surgical patients, as well as, pediatric patients leaving the department or nursing unit for testing or procedures,
  • As a sedation RN the nurse is responsible for the preoperative and postoperative care of the procedural patients,
  • RN and an anesthesiologist work together to care for patient during the test or procedure,
  • Special skills required include pediatric IV insertion, Foley insertion and phlebotomy
