About This Position
Serve as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of the PA Studies Hybrid Program through the following duties, as assigned by the Program Director:
o Providing supplemental student instruction in PAS 2405, PAS 2410, and PAS 2414 via facilitated small-group tutoring and review sessions for didactic courses listed and related systems modules using program-approved materials and blueprints
o Provide structured exam preparation (question dissection, test-taking strategies, blueprint-guided study plans) and targeted reinforcement following
o Evaluating student performance
Document attendance, tutoring goals, and progress notes in program-designated trackers; escalate concerns promptly per program policy
Serve as Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of PA Studies through the following, additional duties, as assigned by the Department Chair:
o Communication and advancement of the strategic plan and initiatives of the University, School, and Department, including championing the commitment to Diversity and Inclusion and fostering an environment where all members of the university community can thrive
o Maintenance of applicable professional certification
o Maintain a collegial learning and working environment for the faculty, staff, students, community partners, and other stakeholders
Qualifications and Experience:
• Required:
o Prior teaching, scholarship, and/or research experience at the professional level
o Current National Commission on Certification of PAs (NCCPA) certification
o Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies or a related field
Rank is commensurate with academic experience and credentials, with the following as a general guide:
• Candidates at the Assistant Professor level should have experience in clinical care and be committed to developing an academic career in teaching and clinical, transitional, or basic science research.
