Job Summary
The Martin-Gatton College of Agriculture, Food and Environment’s James B. Beam Institute for Kentucky Spirits seeks an Agriculture Extension Specialist Senior. Duties include, but not limited to: develop networks and relationships at the state, regional, and/or national level, as appropriate to current needs, that strengthen and advance the Beam Institute’s spirits industry workforce education programming. Provide leadership and support Extension programming. Provide technical assistance to agents and spirits industry stakeholders through expert communication, extension publications, and other appropriate channels. Lead partnerships with external stakeholders and state agencies to support Beam Institute training programs. Coordinate with state agencies to ensure compliance with policies for state-accredited training programs and credentials. Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate Beam Institute Extension activities. Perform applied research related to spirits industry workforce training needs and implementation.
