About This Position
Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are hiring a Finnish Language Teacher to provide hybrid (virtual + in-person) lessons to our client.
Job Information - Combination of virtual and face-to-face lessons (mostly remote, with occasional in-person lessons):

Student: 1 adult (female, professional)
Location: Face-to-face lessons are to be held either in Helsinki or in Espoo (to be arranged)
Preferred start date: As soon as the teacher is ready
Details
Schedule: One-hour lesson on weekdays. The time slot needs to be planned every week as she travels a lot. She needs a very flexible schedule.
Lesson Frequency: Once per week
- Lesson Duration: 1 hour (60 minutes) per session
- Student's location / Time zone: Mainly, Paris / CET (or Helsinki for business)
Current Finnish level: Beginner
Native and other spoken languages: Native Taiwanese; speaks English and French; knowledge in Japanese and German
Student’s language needs and goals: Understanding Finnish language and culture and being able to converse with people in Finland. She'd like to have engaging and dynamic lessons.
Topics student would like to learn: Pronunciation and local accents / Common phrases native speakers use every day / Conversations with native speakers / Job-related vocabulary / How to be polite in Finland / Ordering at restaurants / Business culture / Business language / How to learn a language faster / Phone calls.
• Additional Information: "I like Fashion, music, art, exhibition, architecture etc. Fan of Aalto’s works ! I like to know the learning objectives my teacher has selected for each lesson. I enjoy conversation practice during lessons."
Responsibilities
Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons
Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency level and desired outcomes
Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners toward learning goals
Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner
Qualifications
Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the target language
Certificate or degree in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second language acquisition, or related field
Minimum of two years of teaching experience
