Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and provide substance use prevention education and consultation services to schools, community organizations, and partner agencies
  • Develop and implement prevention programs, curricula, and educational materials related to chemical abuse, dependency, and prevention
  • Assist with prevention planning, program evaluation, and customer service networking throughout the Mahoning Valley
Requirements:
  • Associate Degree in Social Sciences or equivalent relevant experience
  • OCPS eligibility required; OCPSA certification preferred
  • Must register with the Ohio Credentialing Board for Prevention certification within 90 days of hire
  • Knowledge of substance use prevention strategies and developmental milestones
  • Ability to communicate effectively across age groups and cognitive levels
  • Experience following curriculum and developing appropriate lesson plans
  • Competency in Narcan administration
  • Ability to identify mental, physical, and social needs within scope of practice
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and training
