Advertised Salary: $34,360.00 annually depending on qualifications.
Job Description: The purpose of this position is to process records and enter data into computer systems. The position is responsible for entering data, processing documents, retrieving information, and fiscal office administrative tasks. Employees are responsible for routine computations, processing checks, assisting vendors, maintaining files, forms and reports and other clerical functions. Responsibilities require having some knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping principles. The position works according to set procedures under direct supervision.

Required Qualifications: VOCATIONAL/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENT: Requires high school diploma or GED and any combination of education and experience equivalent to satisfactory completion of one year of college education in office technology, information systems, or a closely related field
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: In addition to satisfying the vocational/education standards, this class requires a minimum of three months of related, full-time equivalent experience.
SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES: Special skills or equipment certification may be required.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Employees may be expected to work hours in excess of their normally scheduled hours in response to short-term department needs and/or City-wide emergencies.

- Processes and reviews documents, records, or other forms of information for quality and accuracy; enters data into computer systems; performs back up of records in accordance with procedures.
- Retrieves information from computer systems; prepares routine or special reports, forms, or other documents.
- Processes invoices, checks, electronic fund transfers, and other accounting transactions;
- Coordinates with other departments, outside agencies, and vendors concerning payment matters; and
- Employees are responsible for routine computations, processing checks, assisting vendors, maintaining files, forms and reports and other clerical functions.
- Performs customer services such as researching information, answering questions, and assisting customers with fiscal data or procedural matters.
- Performs routine office tasks, such as typing, filing, faxing, phoning, supplies, and copying.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
